This individualdesigns and implements analytics, metrics and A/B tests and interprets website and business activity, data and reports. Provides day:to:day analytical support to cross:functional teams and various departments by delivering data, analyses and conclusions from a number of sources including, but not limited to Omniture, Google Analytics, SQL queries and industry tracking sources like Compete and Nielsen. They also support various projects and project teams and provides insightful analysis and makes effective, data:driven recommendations for search engine marketing and optimization, site content, and A/B testing of various website features and functionality. Responsibilities and prospects for professional growth for the E:Commerce Analyst include:
Mines data and analyzes data sets and reports from various internal and external sources, using quantitative methods and statistical modeling techniques.
Interprets internal and external data and test results and formulates conclusions, including written commentary interpreting data and trends.
Provides daily support for Search Engine Marketing, and provides forecasts and measures results for various product initiatives affecting site traffic, revenue, user behaviors and loyalty.
Produces daily, weekly and monthly reports and analyses covering site activity, user behaviors, product activity, and monetization statistics.
Provides insights from the data to develop A/B and multivariate tests and create post:test analysis and recommendations.
Identifies, analyzes and resolves problems related to automated systems and operations.
Complies with company policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Requirements for the E:Commerce Analyst:
5+ years as a business analyst analyzing complex data sets and producing and interpreting reports that impact business decisions.
A minimum of 2 years in web analytics for an e:commerce business, including familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, and Compete.
BA/BS degree in finance, business, mathematics, or related field.
Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data methods and statistical models, including regression analysis, significance testing, and related software programs.
Proven ability to interpret complex data sets and trends and apply practical conclusions to the business.
T:SQL programming experience.
Advanced level Excel expertise, including ability to arrange and manipulate data using macros, loo
